Subject: Ok, I'm so glad you posted this! I believe I saw the close up picture of the embroidery in question and thought the same thing??!! I actually wondered if this was considered good embroidery because it WAS designed by someone in the know.....Then I gave my head a shake and thought, nope, not going this route with my embroidery because while yes, I agree with the first comment, no one would ever buy one of my dresses if it looked like that.

more inside :)

In reply to: such bad work 's message, "Anyone else notice the preponderance of new dresses featuring digitizing via the "auto-digitize" button? Commanding big prices for extremely sub-par embroidery. Remind me again why the "big names" deserve the title? What is most amazing is that they post CLOSE-UP photos of this horrendous embroidery, and their dresses are sought after. Why? Why, on so many levels?" on Sunday, March 09, 03:41:16am

PLUS I'd be forced to charge much less for the same style of dress that clearly would drag my name/reputation through the mud. I don't want a "it looks nice on stage, but it's not made very well" kind of reputation.....

Start charging what your dresses are worth ladies! Your time and attention to detail is appreciated by many, so stay strict and true to your work!!

Agreed. Not sure why any embroidery would look bad these days as there are enough good digitizers out there. (NT)*Sunday, March 09, 11:09:42am
