Subject: I agree with this 100%! That is why if the embroidery looks good on-stage, the up-close look isn't as important if the fit is great, the design is eye-catching, the construction is good. It is a complete package, and for me if that package looks amazing on-stage that is what I am paying for.

In reply to: Mom 's message, "Hi. It's not all about the embroidery though, theres the fit, style, stage presence, embroidery comes way down the list as far as I'm concerned. There a very few dressmakers in my opinion that can pull off the look and fit of a Gavin for instance (lets not bash this though) I have seen 3 or 4 of his new designs and they all fit a dream. I for one would sacrifice perfect embroidery close up for the right look/sit of a costume." on Monday, March 10, 06:22:05am

I also agree. If you are talented enough to be able to put together a well made dress then you don't need the digitized embroidery. I have seen many beautiful up-to-date dress that do not have the all-over digitized embroidery and the dancers have placed very well. (NT)another momMonday, March 10, 11:49:07am

I don't think the poster is commenting on non digitized embroidery. That in itself is a whole other artform that deserves high praise to those who do it, and many do it well. :) (NT)imhoTuesday, March 11, 09:29:27am
