In reply to: Worried Mother 's message, "Ive ordered my daughter's new dress from well known SNDM , had skype consultation, picked colors and requested the dress for 1st week of May. Have heard nothing since April 2 re progress. Emailed her twice with no real response. She hasn't said design is even ready yet. Deposit for the dress was paid December last year. What else should I do?" on Wednesday, April 16, 09:36:15pm

Why don't you just ring and speak with her directly? I'm sure she will fill you in. (NT)..Monday, April 21, 03:02:06am

Honestly, there is no way to know who posts here. You could be getting replies from tired dressmakers, bored dancers, your own dressmaker, etc. A fair number of dressmakers have also been burned by demanding customers (your request seems perfectly reasonable, it isn't personal), and are more than a little hesitant to offer advice without knowing both sides of the story. I hope you are able to articulate your questions and concerns to your dressmaker and figure this out. (NT)Good luck!Monday, April 21, 07:32:31am

There is a lot to be read between the lines. Obviously, you posted your side of the story in a way that made you look like you were in the right. What exactly were you expecting people to tell you that you don't already know as an adult? Options include email, phone call, snail mail. It really seems to me you just posted to try to get other DMs to side with you so you could tell the DM, "Oh all the other DMs on the DM board agree with me." It looks like you didn't get what you were looking for, (NT)and now you are upset.Monday, April 21, 09:17:03am
