Subject: Using Tagaderm (transparent high gloss surgical wound covering) on bodice

I recall a while ago there were a number of ladies from Australia that swore by Tagaderm over sewn sequin. I'm wondering how well does it hold up, and how often you need to replace? Does it affect the finish of the sequins? Also, I believe many used it at the upper back bodice (to spare wigs from fraying), as well as the inner seams of the sleeves and the side seams on the bodice. Anywhere else you have used it? I would really appreciate if anyone who has used tagaderm might share their experience?
Thank You

I have used Tegaderm on several dresses. I used it in the areas you mentioned, just where the sequins may rub on another more delicate part of the dress. I have never had to replace it so I don't know how it may affect the sequins if removed. I put it on the brand new dress and sell the dress with it still in place. It has never lifted or curled on the edges so I have had no reason to remove it. More..Aussie MumTuesday, May 20, 05:49:51pm
