Subject: It isn't the sleeve that gives movement, it is the shape and placement of the arm hole. The FD pattern as zero ease in the sleeve cap because it is super easy to add puff but a real PITA to take it out. The size and shape of the sleeve cap relates to the shape and distribution of the armhole.

In reply to: playing with sleeves 's message, "sleeve cap: Does anyone have a photo of the feis dress pattern sleeve? I am experimenting with different sleeve shapes to see what works best for lift. I heard the pattern was decent for that. Just curious of their shape. THANKS!" on Wednesday, July 02, 07:40:19am

Yup-this is true. I still add a little gusset in the arm pit area of the sleeve for team dresses. (NT)Sleeves are a pain.Friday, July 04, 04:57:29pm
