Subject: Sewing sequinned material - I know this has been asked before , I thought that it was in the FAQ section but can't locate it. How do you sew heavily sequinned material without breaking needles? I think it somehow involved drycleaners bags or something any advice most appreciated!

I use dry cleaner bags as the "topper" (there is a product made specifically for this purpose), and try different needles. Some types of sequin prefer a thin size 10 needle, some prefer the fat 16. I like a microtex needle (instead of universal or topstitch) and using a walking foot. (NT)hope that helpsSunday, July 06, 11:38:08am
