I am looking for a dressmaker serving NE Massachusetts to make a one-off costume for my Prizewinner daughter before Oireachtas in November. She is very small, needing a 9.5 inch skirt and other proportionately small measurements so I'd like to make a personal visit with whoever makes the dress. We have tried the "used" route - I bought the smallest dress in the World - really - and had it altered to "fit" (by a tailor experienced in ID alteration but not construction). It does not work. Any recommendations would be most welcome. Thank you.

you could also try posting measurements needed on several voy boards-especially the UK and Aussie board-never know, someone may have a perfect fit and would love to have a buyer without listing the dress first (NT)method has worked for manyMonday, July 07, 05:50:04pm

I am in the MWR & planning a very small dress. Since I'm still finishing the pattern, it can be adapted for a smaller size. (NT)email me for details with this linkMonday, July 07, 07:01:42pm

Could you post her measurements? my 6 year old's dress is about to be for sale, 2 piece less than 1 year old. purple/white (NT)she grewMonday, July 07, 08:52:54pm

Just a suggestion. If you want this dress for the O this fall, work with a DM who will put off finishing the dress until at least Sept. Such small dancers have a nasty habit of sprouting up at the least convenient times. The construction work can be done ahead of time, but (NT)assembly should wait til fallTuesday, July 08, 08:28:41am
