Subject: Hello ladies, I'm working on my first plisse skirt. It's a soft skirt with no interfacing. I have never hemmed this type of fabric before. Any suggestions on how to finish the hem. Thank you.

I have never worked with this, but have inspected a few to get ideaswhat I've seenWednesday, October 12, 06:28:16am

I've made several plisse skirts. I do have a semi structured front and a soft back. First I serge the hem with a 4 thread overlock, then I fold the hem under and topstitch. I repress the pleats (it can drive you nuts!). It has a slight lettuce, but looks nice. There's a photo on my website. www.sewtto.webs.com (NT)It's a classic skirt!Wednesday, October 12, 10:34:47am

The Yahoo ID dressmakers board has a lot of pictures to show you how to make them. (NT)Under Yahoo groupsFriday, October 14, 09:53:22am
