Subject: Embroidery through the lining is just a lazy man's way of doing the job. I have too much respect for my workmanship to ever consider doing this. I like the finish on my dresses to be neat and tidy inside and out.

In reply to: not sure what direction to take.. 's message, "What are your thoughts on embroidering through the bodice lining of your costumes? I currently don't but it appears that more and more of the BNDM's are doing this and it's not being questioned by customers. It would definitely make finishing necklines a lot easier but I'm not sure if this is something a lot of SNDM are doing also? Has anyone had any customer feedback on this?" on Wednesday, December 11, 10:24:22am

If you choose to finish a dress this way, good for you, but it is not necessary for a stage costume, and nobody pays more for a dress finished neatly inside. People also first ask about how much letout and letdown there is when buying a used dress or OTR, so it is good to see the seam allowances straight away (NT)in my experience.Sunday, December 15, 01:42:25pm
