Subject: If you choose to finish a dress this way, good for you, but it is not necessary for a stage costume, and nobody pays more for a dress finished neatly inside. People also first ask about how much letout and letdown there is when buying a used dress or OTR, so it is good to see the seam allowances straight away

in my experience.

In reply to: sequin queen 's message, "Embroidery through the lining is just a lazy man's way of doing the job. I have too much respect for my workmanship to ever consider doing this. I like the finish on my dresses to be neat and tidy inside and out." on Sunday, December 15, 11:40:52am

BS! If these dresses were truly viewed as simple "stage costumes" they would not be so work intensive and cost so much. Same old lame argument:does not compute with the work put into them and the price. In those terms, support your argument, eh? (NT)nscTuesday, December 17, 01:46:26am
