Subject: Beyond that, a properly made stage costume does NOT have shoddy workmanship. Seams are exposed where possible for alterations, but everything is finished neatly with the intention of being able to use, and reuse the costume many times. Professional stage costumes are WELL made, and Irish dance dresses shouldn't be any different. This isn't bridal wear, but everything should still be carefully finished, with a mind towards future alterations and wear/tear.

In reply to: nsc 's message, "BS! If these dresses were truly viewed as simple "stage costumes" they would not be so work intensive and cost so much. Same old lame argument:does not compute with the work put into them and the price. In those terms, support your argument, eh?" on Tuesday, December 17, 01:46:26am
