I'm curious about how everyone is pricing their rhinestones. Do you price them by the gross, per stone, or by the 100? Do you charge different prices based on size, or an average? How do you calculate application time? I'm sure every dressmaker is different, but I'm a bit stumped on the best way to charge for stones and am just looking for ideas.

I charge the cost of crystals plus an hourly fee (NT).Friday, January 03, 04:45:42pm

I've heard going rate is 25 cents/stone plus cost of stone. Sometimes I do that, sometimes if its a lot I charge by the hour to keep prices down. (NT)sm dmFriday, January 03, 04:56:18pm

I just quote an overall price for blinging up the dress, and then use as many crystals as I think is fair for the price. Sometimes I'm probably too generous, but I'd rather have people happy with their purchases (NT).Saturday, January 04, 11:50:29pm

Thanks for the ideas! I'm leaning towards pricing per crystal (just need to work out a fair per crystal fee for my overhead), perhaps with some volume discounts. (NT)OPTuesday, January 07, 07:45:56pm
