Author: on the fence [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Sunday, June 28, 01:50:17pm just back from a local feis-saw 2 brand new SR dresses-nothing but solid block shaped appliques done in geometric fashion on bodice and skirt-very plain but definately striking and a stark contrast to the embroidered bodices/skirts that have been all the rage the past year- what a merry-go-round this dressmaking activity is! Monday, June 29, 09:49:54pm was never keen on geometrics , especially the ones that were 'key designs'. They always reminded me more of Aztec designs or Greek designs and just didn't seem right. However, I did end up making my dd a dress that was covered in diamond shapes ( her idea not mine) and it was the one everyone commented on as it stood out from 'pack'.
