Subject: Use cotton velvet. Absolutely no trouble embroidering on this once it's stabilized.

I always use a "topper" when embroidering on velvet for smooth embroidery results. I've used thin plastic bags (such as dry cleaner bags), but find that water solible stablizer works beautifully. It tears away more cleanly, and if there are any untidy bits they disappear with a bit of water on a rag But if she doesn't want to/can't use velvet, find a different dressmaker (NT)or you'll both be dissatisfiedFriday, August 08, 08:48:27pm
