Subject: There are many ways to do this- a dropped waist bodice can be attached to the skirt, or a normal bodice can be made with a matching pointed panel on the top of the skirt, creating the illusion of a pointed waist. There are so many styles and many ways to create the same look. Top and bottom can be topstiched, sewn right side to right side, or made into a 2 piece. If your mom is a sewer, have her look at pictures of your favorites and improvise. That's how we all do it!
