Subject: You might want to wait till you talk to your dm. This will differ, depending on whether your fabric has a pattern or nap to match up. It's better to buy when you know the right amount, and not have to frantically try to find that last 1/2 yard when you guessed wrong.

If you really want to buy fabric before choosing a dressmaker, I'd get 3.5 yards minimum, and probably 4-4.5 just to be safe. It probably won't take that much, but it's better to be safe than sorry (NT)understand the need/desire to hunt for dealsFriday, August 08, 09:46:16pm
