Author: dm [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: Friday, August 08, 04:27:23pm My normal rule of thumb is to back EVERYTHING except the cotton bodice lining... but I found a great lycra for the skirt lining, and I'm wondering how everyone else deals with it. It's a 4 way stretch heavy lycra, and would be used to back a skirt about 12 inches long, so there shouldn't be much excess to stretch. Subject Author Date heavy stretch lycra is very heavy and will add weight to the dress especially as a lining (NT) If you decide to use it you'll have to stabilize Friday, August 08, 05:51:48pm I've used heavy lycras for the skirt lining before and didn't stablize. I never noticed any sagging later on... But I did spray glue it down to the inner layer and then it hung and held up nicely. (NT) .
