Subject: To get the "look" you'll want the skirt to be around 1/3 (or a little less) the total length of the dress from the shoulder. She could have a 3"-6" dropped waist, and as long as the waist isn't dropped below the widest part of her hips and the skirt is in the 1/3 range, it will look good.

Color has an impact on elongating a persons body. My DD who is long and lean tried on a couple of dresses in TN. I took pictures of her in the dress to show the teacher. I still have the pictures and looking back at them, the pictures of her in the black bodice with a contrasting color for the skirt and arms really looked awesome on her. Tried on the same style dress with dark red bodice and silver skirt and arms and it just made her look stalking.. (NT)color makes an impact.Monday, July 13, 08:05:01pm
