In reply to: thanks 's message, "embroidery machines" on Tuesday, August 06, 06:50:13am

Having a dealer and/or a local repair shop near by is very important. I own 2 Brother sewing/embroidery machines. One is a 17 year old Pacesetter 7000 with a 4 X 6 inch field that I use for everything. The only time I had to take it to the shop is when I started altering ID dresses. The thickness of the fabric and interfacing threw the timing off. I have an ancient Singer for heavy-duty sewing.

The other is a Brother ULT 2001 with a 6 X 10 inch field that I use for embroidery only. I purhcased the 6 X 20 Giga hoop. At this point, I cannot justify the expense of purchasing a commercial embroidery machine.
