Subject: Is this a complicated as I'm afraid it might be. I have done appliqué before but it was a simple flower. I bought the design. Can you confirm that these are the steps I need to take? Draw the design on paper. Transfer this design to my machine. Use tools on my machine to draw the design into embroidery format and then use the software to covert that pes design into an appliqué .

Have you any tips? It sounds easy the way you explain it

In reply to: you are very experienced at embroidery by hand. 's message, "I digitise everything, including a straight stitch to tack down the applique fabric and outline the design first, then cut around it, and then satin stitch around it again to finish it off. Digitised embroidery usually looks much neater unless" on Saturday, August 17, 02:58:16am

It isn't complicated at all. Import your picture and digitise around it (or I just digitise freehand) as a line of straight stitch to tack down the fabric, and duplicate it as a line of satin stitch for edging the applique. (NT)Easy! Good Luck!Thursday, August 22, 01:57:07am
