Subject: That doesn't make sense to me, even with a side seam doesn't the front of the frame still rotate forward? I feel like I missed something. On a related note, if you have to let out the dress 3" it is probably time for a new dress. I'm sure that's frustrating for some, but that is a big change in size.

In reply to: altered a lot of these 's message, "It depends on how much you have to let out. If you only need an inch or so, then letting it out at the CB is fine. When you need 2 or 3 inches, letting it out only at the CB rotates the side of the skirt frame forward too far. It is not an issue with the frames that are seamed at the sides, but the ones that are constructed in a single piece tend to buckle and tilt the back up." on Friday, September 13, 07:02:00am

Frames that are seamed at the sides generally have pleats that you can let out if necessary to keep the "v" at the side of the skirt at the side of the dress. (NT)a dmSaturday, September 14, 06:12:45am
