Subject: I have 2 Janome 1600s that I love. They are straight-stitch only, steel housing, metal mechanisms, and real workhorses. They sew up to 1600 spm but have a "speed control" switch to allow you to control your max speed. They go thru the thick layers of solo dresses with ease. I have also just purchased a used Consew commercial machine but I haven't done much sewing on it yet.

In reply to: Appreciate your input 's message, "Have been looking through the FAQ's for industrial sewing machine information. There are lots of posts from 2001, but looking for some more recent threads. Interested in purchasing a newer model than the ones listed as the older, durable machines aren't always available on for sale sites. Thank you for any advice you can give." on Wednesday, September 25, 06:44:24pm

Thanks BJ! Any extra model numbers for your Janome 1600's? I have located a couple of the Consew machines on local for sale sites, interested to hear your experience on that one when you have a go on it. Many thanks for our input. (NT)KDFriday, September 27, 09:16:21am
