But a cotton lining is only going to help a little if the outer fabric doesn't breathe at all. As I said, the washable silk dresses (still lined with poly) are much more comfortable. The bodice is a stretch Velvet and the skirts are Fortuny Crush. They are totally washable. I throw them in my front-loader then drip dry. I also use a "color catcher" because of the black Velvet.
