I'm thinking about a new team costume, and I'd like some feedback as to what you have found works the best for team dresses. What is easy to work with, drapes nicely on different body types, holds up well, etc?

Thank you for your knowledge!

I think the most practical is gabradine. Durable, washable, and easy to work with. (NT):)Monday, March 26, 06:02:14pm

We used stretch velvet and a crepe from Joanns. Dresses are machine washable. (NT)Works for usMonday, March 26, 07:41:14pm

Teelin's school dresses look very practical. The dresses are sleeveless (works good for performances) but they have some sort of long sleeve top that goes under (same material as dress) that makes them right for feising as well as allows for when the arms get longer all of a sudden. http://www.teelin.com/TIDC/companyhome.html & http://www.teelin.com/TSID/schooldress.html (NT).Monday, March 26, 08:04:24pm

I use gabardine and crepe-backed satin for my school's jumpers. The girls wear it over a white long-sleeved top and it's not hot at all. Plus, it being a jumper means that essentially they don't need to be washed, because the top catches the worst of the sweat (NT)Love gabardineThursday, March 29, 03:16:12pm

We have two school costumes - one is stretch velvet with a detachable top, the other is a traditional 3 panel made of polyester poplin. We are quite happy with both options. (NT)XWednesday, April 11, 07:28:09am
