Subject: does anyone have experience sewing a bodice out of swinsuit material ( heavyweight 90%polester/10%spandex from spandexworld) ? in particular, did you line it, interface it, and if so with what type of material? it would seem to be hot and i don't want it to be hotter. I have sewing many dresses using lycra over the years and it is like any other fabric, use the right technique ie : needle, backing the lycra right and you should be fine . Be a little careful of your stitch density, and make sure the interfacing is well adhered, but other than that I've seen dresses from way back with the lycra still intact. Be careful of the holo lycras though, some of them are terrible and rub off almost intermediately.
