Subject: thanks for advance warnings. The color and shime was perfect but I will try to fimd it in another type fabric. No use startimg and ending with a headache job!

Lycra fabric. Back about 10 years ago a lot of the dresses were made of lycra fabric. I have sewing many dresses using lycra over the years and it is like any other fabric, use the right technique ie : needle, backing the lycra right and you should be fine .     Agreed. Be a little careful of your stitch density, and make sure the interfacing is well adhered, but other than that I've seen dresses from way back with the lycra still intact. Be careful of the holo lycras though, some of them are terrible and rub off almost intermediately. (NT)--Sunday, May 06, 12:59:13pm
