 I have had experiences like this in the past and feel totally
drained in the process. Now what I do is email 3 designs to start with once one is selected I do a color study for them front and back. Once the design and colors are approved I start the dress. I will update the customer on the progress
of the dress but do not send pictures until the dress is complete and only if they request it.

I'd say you always welcome feedback and can report that the dress is well underway. Each time you get an email, it slows down the process and holds up the completion of her costume. Since everything has been agreed upon at this point, unless you have specific questions for the client, the next step is to arrange for the remaining balance to be paid, after which you will be able to give shipping details.
