Subject: Is it getting stuck on her tummy? Cut it down at the waist, in a curve. Some dressmakers still leave the stiffener straight across the waist. Otherwise, is the waist seam too tight? Let out the dress at the waist. Also just bending and flexing the panel so it is less stiff can help.
