It has done a great job but is noisy and I think it is nearing the end of it's life - don't want it to give up half way through a dress and I've got 2 to make in a short time. I'm in Australia and not wanting to spend a big amount but want something with a good satin stitch that can cope with the rigours of ID dress making! Subject Author Date I just bought a janome 6260 qc - it's a quilting machine so it can handle a lot of bulk and has a 7mm wide satin stich + a few decorative ss's. I only bought it a few months ago it's rrp is 1200 and I got it for 699 as the newer model is due to come out. I'm in Aus too, took a bit of shopping around but I love this machine!
