Subject: I put a separator zipper in the side so one side was completely open. That way the guy could get it easily over his head because he had both the side and the arm opening.

In reply to: never did a vest side zip before 's message, "Going to put in a side zipper, does the boy get into his vest over the head then zips up the side? Do you need a certain size opening to assure this would work? Is it a problem ? I don't have the dd avail for fitting." on Friday, August 31, 12:13:29am

Thank you. I guess I wasn't sure how big the neck opening needed to be to get the head and other arm in. (NT)!Friday, August 31, 09:21:36am

If you use a commercial vest pattern, the neck opening will be big enough. If you make a high neck (like a solodress) you could theoretically go for a back zipper like a dress! (NT)suggestionSaturday, September 01, 11:19:17am
