I would think 100 + emails are excessive, if decisions are not being made then I would request the customer phone me and issues regarding design or measurements can be finalized. The problem I have sometimes are customers not emailing me back 1. when they receive designs. 2. when I have asked them to check measurements. Waiting up to 2 weeks just wastes my time. I like to work with repeat customers and I am very careful when dealing with a first time customer. Communication is important, I inform the customer upfront what to expect when ordering a custom dress, how many designs I provide and how to take measurements. I do not hesitate to say no sorry can't make this dress, because of poor communication or other issues.

I recently had a customer change her mind 4 times on colors, fabrics, design. I spent lots of $$ on fabrics that would have been beautiful. I finally backed off and let her pick everything because she didn't trust my suggestions. The dress is very nice, but her fabrics selection was not great, and I'm stuck with some very expensive fabrics that they were not charged for.
