Subject: Vilene is the product used by the bndms, but it is not available for retail purchase in the US. I have tried contacting Pellon directly (it is a Pellon product) but they will only sell it if you have a particular business license/resale license; in other words, they only sell to manufacturers in the US - I don't know why.

In reply to: ID Mom 's message, "What is the strongest interfacing used in stabilizing ID costumes? Have tried many types of Pellon products - would like the one BNDMs use. Thanks." on Sunday, January 10, 11:21:51am

I have a 55 yard bolt. If you are interested in purchasing some leave your email address. It is more expensive than regular Peltex though (Peltex is Pellon's ultra firm product that is sold in US fabric stores; you can use it for dresses, but it is harder to sew through than Vilene).

Have you tried ebay? Many UK sellers as it is easily available? I but from local dressmaking supplies and can get same weight as in a Siopa Rince I took apart over the summer (NT)Jessica HeppleWednesday, January 13, 10:20:04am
