In reply to: CF 's message, "Glue for Swarovski Crystals" on Monday, February 15, 06:03:12am

E-6000 is the best for crystals on fabric and metal. Yes, it is toxic and I tried other glues but none is working as fast as E-6000. The problem with other glues is that they don't dry fast enough so the crystals are sliding and you cant move the dress too much. Takes much longer to do it. If you have time on your hands then no problem using Jewel Bond or Jewel-It (I think these are what I used years ago on socks). I try to limit the E-6000 now and use it only for big crystals.
I think it is the breading vapors that is more harmful, but not sure.
Best crystals for socks are ss20.

Just my opinion, maybe others have a better knowledge about the glue.

Thank you so much. That was very helpful! Would Gorilla Glue work? (NT)CFMonday, February 15, 07:35:29am
