Hi there, I am a fairly experienced costume/dress maker and I would like to attempt to make my son a vest. Is there an ID vest pattern available or do people just use regular vest patterns and also is there anyway that you can buy embroidery designs on line - I tried Taoknitter but can't seem to get a reply from them.
Thanks :)

You can use a regular vest pattern but adjust it to have a side zipper. It keeps things flatter on the front and easier to embroider. You can find some Irish knotwork embroidery designs on websites like emblibrary.com . (NT)Much easier than a dressSaturday, April 30, 10:06:43pm

I used a Vogue pattern and it worked well. Just made the front as one piece and inserted a side zipper. (NT)*Wednesday, May 25, 06:30:12am
