I just had two Gavin dresses for alterations. There is no fusible interfacing at all. There is some kind of a stiffener around the shoulder/neck area, could be the stabilizer that was left for keeping the neck in shape.

Rising Star the same, no fusible interfacing. All dresses are velvet though, with some other fabrics for sleeves, but the other fabrics had no fusible either.

Hmm. I'm getting a new Gavin today to alter so I will double check, but in all the ones I have worked on there seemed to be some kind of cotton "lining" that they embroidered through. It definitely seemed to be fused to the dress fabric. More..Monday, June 12, 09:08:46am
