Subject: It is much too small across the shoulders. You can see her shoulders pushing against the sleeve fabric. There's no solving a fit issue this drastic, she just needs a larger dress. The white fabric across the chest is too narrow for her width. Sometimes I can squeeze an extra half inch by letting the shoulder seam out as far as it will go, but they aren't usually meant to be let out, so that only works when it is just a little too tight. This dress is way too tight for that solution.

In reply to: sdm 's message, "I have this fit issue regularly. I am not knocking this beautiful dress, If I could make one half as nice I would be over the moon! I understand this is an OTR and the dress is being modelled, but I have the fit issue across the front chest quite often. I am sure it's not cut too small, so why is it pulling? Any advice would be very much appreciated, this is the bain of my life at the moment, and cannot see where I am going wrong, to my eye it looks too big, but if so, it wouldn't pull.." on Tuesday, April 09, 08:58:26am

I am not an expert but to me it looks like the sleeve has not anough "cup". Not sure if that is what you call it. It shold be wider and have a fold or just be gathred on the top seam. (NT)JTuesday, April 09, 10:06:37am

yes. I was going to add that. The sleeve cap is too narrow. A fix could be to replace the sleeve with a puffier sleeve. (NT)above posterTuesday, April 09, 10:14:40am
