Not all dressmakers charge extra to make a dancer's own design. It really depends on how difficult the design is to make. Customers often don't understand how expensive and time consuming digitizing and stitch out can be when creating their own designs. (NT)dmFriday, April 12, 11:36:52am

I prefer not to work with dancer's designs. There is too much concern that the design may not be totally original. More than once I have had people send me "their" design, only to then see the EXACT SAME design from a bndn. I know there are dressmakers that don't mind using dancer's own designs, but I'm just more comfortable with my own. (NT)JMHOFriday, April 12, 04:00:07pm
