Subject: What I don't get is that my design is very similar to several of her dresses, without being the same. She says she can't do it. It's not a KISS dress for cryin' out loud!

What you may consider similar and easy may not be. If it were really that easy you wouldn't need a dressmaker, right? Similar to when I think some dance moves look amazing and my dd tells me they are easy, but what looks easy to me, she says is very difficult. If the dm says she can't do it, then personally I wouldn't want her to try because it probably won't look very good in the end. A KISS dress would be much easier than some of the designs dancers have sent me. (NT)another sndmFriday, April 12, 05:24:36pm

Look, at the end of the day there are clearly some communication problems between you and the dressmaker. I think you need to address them clearly and politely, suggest a solution and attempt to come to a middle ground. If you two are unable to find a compromise, it would probably be best for both parties to part ways. (NT)--Friday, April 12, 09:44:51pm
