Subject: When was the last time you had a tune up? I would have it checked out as the tension might be off.

In reply to: sndm 's message, "can skipped stitches be from the need to have a 'tune-up'? I regularly clean out the lint, but does the timing affect skipped stitches?" on Sunday, April 21, 03:09:21pm

skipped stitches can come from not having the needle set properly, a burr on the needle, the wrong size needle for the thread/fabric, the wrong presser foot tension, or the timing being off. Check the easy fixes first (needle, presser foot) and if all else fails take it in for service. (NT)BJWednesday, April 24, 03:11:48pm
