Subject: What is the best combo for design to embroidery software?

[ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]

I have a Toyota 9100 and I use a cheap animae software to design a dress that I save as a .jpeg to send to customers. I then draw the design on paper for the real size pattern, scan it into my computer, size it, import it into Forte, size it again, and use that image to digitize the design. I find the satin stitch in Forte to be incredibly tedious. I'm wondering if anyone has a 'better/faster' way to get to the digitized design?

Are you serious? I just design and digitise all at one go in Bernina software. (NT)Quick and easy!Monday, March 11, 02:25:47am

yes--I'm serious, that is why I'm asking... is there more than one bernina software---if so which is best? (NT)sndmMonday, March 11, 07:22:51am

Anyone have any other suggestions? (NT)sndmTuesday, March 12, 09:52:28am

What is it about the satin stitch that's making it tedious? Is it the time spent digitizing or does it not turn out the way it looks on the software (density, width etc?) (NT):)Tuesday, March 12, 02:18:42pm

so with a 15 x 20 hoop --will the V6 allow you to digitize a full size design...and can you create this size hoop in the V6? I like to see how the embroidery fits in the hoop... (NT)sndmThursday, March 14, 07:38:37am
