Can someone help me. Trying to make a costume with 'v' waist - what length and how would I cut the skirt? It's like 8 inches in the middle but goes up to 12 inches at the sides? Talking myself in and outta things - maybe someone can shed light before I cut the material? Any help would be much appreciated.

You can top-stitch the bodice to the skirt, it's quite common. That way you can make a skirt as though it doesn't have a point, pin (and baste) the bodice to the skirt with the point, and top-stitch. (NT)Just a suggestionTuesday, October 23, 02:23:40pm

thank you. i thought that but was afraid of it being bulky - I'll give it a go. (NT)tryingWednesday, October 24, 02:40:28am
