I cut a 24" square on grain. Occasionally I need a 27" one for the taller girls. Narrow zigzag 5/8" from raw edge. Pull threads to fringe about 1/4 - 3/8" on each edge. Fold diagonally and pin at shoulder and hip. I embroider a design from the school dress on the bottom left corner of the shawl, but it can be left plain as well. I've seen some that sew the triangle RST and then turn right side out to make a finished triangle. (NT)BJThursday, November 08, 08:28:35am
