Oh my goodness... Savich's Dairy Bar! I used to walk on the path between the woods and the corn field to go to work at Savich's in 1968. I used to dip ice cream (32 flavors!)and make cheesesteaks and hoagies. Milan Savich and Nick Savich were my bosses. I remember when the U of P students dug the corn fields and found so many Native American relics. Pottery, arrowheads, etc. I grew up in Georgetown and we used to explore the creek that separates Georgetown from Heritage Village. That creek ran behind the dairy bar, mansion and farm. The ice cream was made right there. I sure do miss those days and wish that it was still there so my kids and grandkids could experience life as it was in the good old days! What a great neighborhood to grow up in!
