Subject: Latex in Clothes Washer Seals?

I am interested in buying a front-loading clothes washer, but I know they have a rubber-like seal on the door. Do you know if they would cause me any problems because of my latex allergy? Or are they synthetic? I thought you might have heard if there have been negative effects noted. Thanks for your help.
