Carpet problems tend to lie with the padding used underneath, rather than the carpet itself. I would ask your church to contact the carpet installer and ask what type of padding will be used, so that you will have this information. Some carpets are foam-backed, the company should be able to provide the info. on materials.

If the church is aware that this could be a problem they may even be willing to request a non-latex padding if available.
