Julie, there's contact dermatitis allergy, then there's systemic allergy. Which you have, I can't tell - that would be a doctor's determination through blood testing.
Contact dermatitis would be relieved by not wearing the gloves anymore - the hives would eventually go away probably within the week. A systemic reaction to the gloves would keep bothering you since other people around you are continuing use of gloves themselves, and the rubber gets airborne, breathed in, and causes endless reactions for you. You need to find out the *type* of allergic reaction you have. If it's systemic, you need to get OUT of that environment!
