2nd tell her that her friends will still like her. They liked her before she moved up and they will like her if it takes her a little longer for her to catch on.

Are there older girls in your school? Perhaps the teacher would be willing to allow your daughter to work with one of them. My dd helps several of the little ones in our school.

3rd Have your daughter sit in a chair where her feet (at least the toes of her shoes) touch the floor and have her swing her feet hitting the floor on the swing forward and back. Keep her doing that until she gets a feel for hitting her batters each way so that she doesn't miss them. Have her do the same thing with the clicks. Make her turn her toes out as best she can and then try hitting her heels together again and again and again until she finds the "sweet"spot that gives her the click.

Both batters and clicks are just a matter of repetition. If you have the correct turn out and technique and keep doing them over and over and over again. You will get them.

Don't be discouraged, she IS only 8 and had many many years ahead of her.
