All Right, I've been looking at this gorgeous set of abs and pecks all week and thoroughly enjoying the sight. He is a work of art. And you all know that I love art. As an artist, a bare chest is much easier to do than one with fur. I understand why swimmers shave/wax. Speed. I understand why body builders/models shave/wax. Definition. But on a personal level... I love soft, silky, fingers runnable through, hair on a man's chest. How does everybody else feel? Do ya think that the lack of fur on the model's chests that we are viewing has anything to do with the current popularity of shape shifters? LOL Just asking! *G*

[> Bare is good,if there are good muscles & a tan to go with it.I don't mind a hairy chest if it's just a little. You know,if I can still see some skin underneath. But when a man looks like a shag carpet on top...EWWWW!!!! The only thought that look inspires for me is 'Where are the clippers, hot wax, etc.' or 'The zookeepers have been lax at their posts' *G* -- Boadicea, Friday, July 25, 10:00:06am

[> I don't like chest hair .... there I said it. I like all these waxed beauties and I don't care a hoot why they do it as long as no mangy hair is showing. Having said that when I read about shapeshifters, they all have lovely hairless chests in MY imagination, no matter what the author writes LOL. -- Chez, Friday, July 25, 10:57:25pm

[> I'm also not a fan of the shag carpet look. I was sadly disillusioned this week when reading Fearless Fourteen with Stephanie Plum revealing that Morelli has hair on his butt. That so jars my fantasy and I'm now trying to pretend I never read it. -- Beth, Saturday, July 26, 01:04:15am

[> [> Beth, I read that but it didn't phase me, because I picture it as thin blonde hair that is soft but not all like a yeddi or anything. Kind of like what women have on their cheeks, peach fuzz that you can only see in the very bright light. And if I was Stephanie, I'd be constantly checking out his bod and I wouldn't miss a thing! LOL Don't let it get you down, Morelli is no sasquatch. -- Robin, Saturday, July 26, 05:46:10am

[> Well I'm not looking for a shag pile but I like some hair on a mans chest. It look masculine it feels great to! -- Melanie, Saturday, July 26, 02:06:08am

[> I like chest hair.....not an over abundance, but yes, I like chest hair. Half the time I see a shaved smooth chest, it makes the guy look boyish....but if anyone wants to dispute that and post some manly men with shaved chest, I'll suffer thru it and view them all. LOL -- Robin, Saturday, July 26, 05:48:48am

[> Personally, I like them clean to look at and only a bare minimum to touch. Can't stand the Tom Selleck look. Clean makes their skin shine if they're tanned. Don't get me started on back hair. -- Lucy, Saturday, July 26, 07:37:08pm

This was posted on my local RWA Chapter loop.

I know many of you are not country music fans, but I think Brad Paisley has written a song that relates to my problem in writing male dialogue. I may have to tape this to my monitor as a reminder, because it is so true. This is his song "I'm Still a Guy".

When you see a deer, you see Bambi
And I see antlers up on the wall
You see a lake you think picnics
And I see a large mouth up under that log.

You're probably thinkin' that you're gonna change me
In some ways, well, maybe you might
Scrub me down, dress me up
Oh, but no matter what, remember, I'm still a guy.

When you see a priceless friend's painting
I see a drunk naked girl
You think that riding a wild bull sounds crazy
And I'd like to give it a whirl.

Well, love makes a man do some things he ain't proud of
And in a weak moment I might
Walk your sissie dog, hold your purse at the mall
But remember, I'm still a guy.

And I'll pour out my heart, hold your hand in the car
Write a love song that makes you cry
Then turn right around, knock some jerk to the ground
'Cause he copped a feel as you walked by.

I can hear you now talkin' to your friends
Sayin', yeah girls, he's come a long way
From draggin' his knuckles and carryin' a club
And buildin' a fire in a cave.

But when you say a backrub means only a backrub
And you swat my hand when I try
Well, now what can I say at the end of the day
Honey, I'm still a guy.

These days there's dudes gettin' facials
Manicured, waxed and botoxed
With deep spray-on tans and creamy lotiony hands
You can't grip a tacklebox.

Yeah, with all of these men linin' up to get neutered
And headin' out to be feminized
But I don't hide by my head, I've still got a pair
Yeah honey, I'm still a guy.

Oh, my eyebrows ain't plucked, there's a gun in my truck
Oh, thank God I'm still a guy...
