How's everyone doing?

I still haven't baked. I guess the good folks at the local grocery will be helping me out. LOL.

Over the weekend I did manage to clean the house, get a few last minute gifts, go to church, go to dinner and see Sherlock Holmes 2 (love Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law together!) with my Aunt. So it was a good weekend.

Started to do a 're-read' of an iconic book that was so awesome to me when I first read it about 10 years ago. Now? I'm not getting into it. Not sure why. Maybe I need to STOP doing so many re-reads and start some new books where I'm surprised by what is going to happen?

I usually LOVE my re-reads because they are a comfort. AND since its the busy holiday season, if I happen to get busy and not pick the book up for a few days, I still know where I am without having to go back and catch up. You know what I mean?

Do you do re-reads during the holidays? Are you able to read at all?

Guess thats about it for an update....

I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and happy new year too!

(((Hugs)))
Robin

[> I really don't do many rereads, Robin. I have too many books sitting on my TBR shelf to spend very much time on rereads. I figure I'll have reread time after I retire. I've kept all of the books I enjoyed so I can do just that. I think I'll have to live till I'm 100 in order to enjoy them all. Of course, since I'm not going to remember the books I read 20 years ago anyway it'll be like reading new books instead. *G* Have a great holiday, Robin. -- Beaty, Wednesday, December 21, 08:20:42pm

[> Me to I just don't have the time to re-read. I read so slow to begin with that I don't dare take the time to read them a second time.*G* I'm ready for the holidays & here's wishing everyone a GREAT HOLIDAY WEEKEND!!! -- LindaW, Thursday, December 22, 06:59:08pm

[> I don't have time to read right now,but I do know what you mean,it's easier to keep track of an oldie but goodie you've already read, than to try and keep track of something new that you're still processing.I like Beaty's idea about them being like new books many years later *G* My baking will consist of using my Pillsbury cookie coupon and trying to slice the dough I manage not to eat into nice neat little circles *G* -- Bo, Friday, December 23, 07:13:57am
