[> Thanks Beaty! You too. By the way. I ordered Robyn Carr's Virgin River book about COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS that just came out in Nov 2011. The plot is one of my faves. I haven't read ANY of these books yet...do you think I'll be missing out too much?? I wanted to try the series, but the first book doesn't appeal to me so I didn't....I know I'm not supposed to read out of turn, and like in the IN DEATH books, its the back stories that are so RICH with secondary characters and all that, but is this series the same way?? -- Robin, Tuesday, December 27, 02:05:55pm

[> [> Robin...DO NOT read "Come Home For Christmas" first. In my opinion...and I ADORE the VR series...but this book sucked! It was a huge disappointment to me. I thought I liked the plot...but the heroine is almost engaged to another guy at the start of the book, and I felt she didn't properly end that relationship before she got frisky with ther hero. If you started with this one...you might build your framework for the whole series after this book...and you just can't...because this book shouldn't even be a part of the series IMHO. The first book of the series...starts off very slow...and you'll want to put it down...but keep reading...stick to it...and you will love it...and each book after just brings that town alive. -- Heather, Tuesday, December 27, 06:40:47pm

[> [> [> [> Hey, Robin! I'm about half way through "Come Home for Christmas" and I don't totally agree with Heather. I love this series - very traditional romance. I really enjoy watching the town grow. It's a "too good to be true" feeling, but then traditional romance has that feeling. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. And - in order to watch the town grow correctly - you must read them in order. *G* -- Beaty, Wednesday, December 28, 06:11:24pm
