Subject: Hello Strangers!!

I've been MIA for way too long, but want to shout out HELLO to everyone!
Life has been crazy this past year, which is no different than it is for so many people, but it took a lot of my time! My step-dad passed away about 18 months ago, so we were back and forth to MT several times to help my mom. Our landlords divorced (bitterly) so we bought our house. My boss retired, so I did the whole job hunting thing and landed a new job. Kids are busy just doing kid stuff. Hubby is awesome as always. And, I don't know if I've mentioned it here, but I started writing. I'm writing under the name Carmen Cook and have been attending the Seattle RWA chapter meetings regularly, stepped up to chair registration for this year's Emerald City Writers' Conference and I'll be chairing the conference next year. *deep breaths!* LOL.
AND, my exciting news from today: I got the call that my book is a finalist in the Pacific Northwest Writers Associations Literary Contest! I'm so excited!

So, there's my update in a quick nutshell. :-) I hope all is well with all my RBL sisters!

So, Carmen is because, believe it or not, I'm called Carmen quite often. I don't know why people hear 'Ronlyn' and think 'Carmen', but it makes me laugh.
